Zhakathoom Why do I love this album?
Well it's Trippy Wicked and the Cosmic Children of the Knight...

Duuh! /rolleyes

I feel the theme and feel of the album has shifted a bit from Movin' on. Going Home feels a bit more "sad" to me. It's still a great album, with many of the tracks being upbeat tongue-in-cheek tunes like Hillbilly Moonshine, but when these songs (4 through to 7) is by far overshadowed by the rest of the fantastic tunes, the initially instilled "sadness" is prevalent throughout for me. Favorite track: Change Your Mind.

Going Home 08:20
Along came a stranger Telling us tales of a land Where there’s peace there And before too long He made us believe in the good That would come where We’ll feel at home We’re going home He said it’s a new way I’d sooner you get it wrong than worry And you’ll feel as one Feel like you belong You can get there You’ll feel at home We’re going home And so the day came A ship to take us away To the new land Where we’d feel free Free to be who we are In the new world We’re going home We’re going home Ship we’re on is going down Free at last Ship we’re on is landing now Free at last

You don’t even know that you’ve been born You don’t even know the rule of thumb Vampires got his teeth sunk in you Think you’re good but man you’re see through I get so very angry I want to stake them all So you seem to stay in all the time People think that you’re not doing fine Vampires got his teeth sunk in you Think you’re good but man you’re see through I get so very angry I want to stake them all Down goes the sun Bring on the fun Beware the vampire’s after you I get so very angry I want to stake them all I get so very angry I want to stake them all Here comes the sun

Go Outside 04:51
Kids are looting and they’re burning houses to the floor Call it riots but it doesn’t seem to have a cause Say they’re stealing from the rich but it is from the poor They have wiped away what people have worked so hard for I don’t wanna go outside Today Tries to tame the fire then his head is beaten in Only stealing sweets then pose for pictures with a grin Vigilantes go out cos they want to have a fight Sixteen thousand on the streets so they can peace the night I don’t wanna go outside Today Have no fear It’s made clear They’ve released the hound If you’re lost you’re found again Name and shame It is obvious you’re not one of us Clean up forces go to show they want to carry on Building up communities to make the feeling strong Seven hundred in two days sentenced to get their time I hope that in the future we get back to being fine I don’t wanna go outside Today

Oh the party’s going swell And I think that you can tell That we all might go to Hell Cos it ain’t gonna end well No it ain’t gonna end well Ain’t gonna end well And you might as well ignore All the people at the door Cos there ain’t no room for more Ain’t gonna end well Ain’t gonna end well Oh the party’s over here You can always bring more beer Cos there’s no last order bell So it ain’t gonna end well No it ain’t gonna end well Ain’t gonna end well And you might as well ignore All the people at the door Cos there ain’t no room for more Ain’t gonna end well Ain’t gonna end well

Feel you can’t take no more Death’s house and knocking the door Head can’t take the pain That night you do it again Gotta get away But it feels so good Wish I could stay Ah go on pour me another one Give in ‘til it gets Try to get your palette wet Always think it’s fun Losing everyone Gotta get away But it feels so good Wish I could stay Ah go on pour me another one It’s the same I refrain It takes over when you’re near It’s a game and a strain Push away all I hold dear It’s a stain starts from grain Giving in to insincere A constraint my lament God is over in my world Gotta get away But it feels so good Wish I could stay Ah go on pour me another Wish I could stay Cos it feels so good Gotta get away Ah go on pour me another

Change your mind and the world will go with you It’s alright Know that just for a while it’s blue I believe... yeah It’s ok There is nothing wrong with you Change your mind Change your ways Change your heart again Only way So you see all the days just seem the same You just want to be on another plain I can see... yeah If you try you might just make it true Change your mind Change your ways Change your heart again Only way Living giving feeling like humping Change your mind Change your ways Change your heart again Only way What you wanted you can now achieve I’ve been dreaming

Home 01:21

about

Recorded by ourselves in late 2011, mixed and mastered by Tony Dallas Reed who counts the latest Saint Vitus album among his credits. Going Home was released on our own label Superhot Records 30th April 2012.

"Their new full-length 'Going Home' is an idiosyncratic gem, packed with fuzzy guitar, mighty grooves, and a heap of surreal humour."
- Terrorizer

"These Brits lay down blues so heavy they threaten the stability of the Earth's crust."
- Metal Hammer

"I can go all day, praising the uniqueness of the band, but I'm sure I'm not capable of doing them justice. It's something that needs to be heard, and that's what I highly suggest be done."
- The Soda Shop

"Trippy Wicked are absolute masters of weaving a masterful array of sounds throughout their songs, creating richly textured and memorable music. Vocals are perfectly matched to the melody and ably adept at delivering what are some of the cleverest lyrics around. “Going Home” is a unique and brilliant masterpiece."
- Heavy Planet

"You guys fucking ROCK!"
